Old Greenwich resident Michael Napoli, 25, was stopped by police in Greenwich after blowing through multiple traffic lights, failing to signal and speeding on I-95, according to police.
After failing to stop at the lights, it is alleged that Napoli then traveled at speeds exceeding 100 mph on I-95 south, weaving between lanes.
Napoli was eventually stopped on Indian Field Road after the vehicle got off I-95 at exit 4.
Police said that it is alleged that during the stop, Napoli had “glassy, red eyes and had the odor associated with the consumption of alcoholic beverages emanating from his person and breath.” He then failed multiple Standardized Field Sobriety Tests and was taken into custody.
Following his arrest, Napoli was charged with operating under the influence and reckless driving. He was also cited for speeding, failure to maintain lane, and two counts each of failure to obey a traffic signal and failure to signal a turn.
Napoli was released on a $250 bond and scheduled to appear in Stamford Superior Court on Monday, Dec. 23.
